Resistance
I just could not resist the urge to resist the damned alarm this morning. I had set the bed up so it keeps me properly warm. One of my layers had been removed while Sharleen was here, the Blue Blanket. The idea had been that a person could bury himself at the layer appropriate for the coldness outside. There are now five blankets on the bed, the blue is on top, followed by a lighter weight down. That one just wasn't maintaining sufficient warmth not to feel the cold a little.
Now restored to the something closer to the original plan—the blue had been lower in the arrangement—the bed was just really cozy.
I did get to bed by my self imposed bed-time, barely. I was futzing with numbers to get my end of year stuff in order, and figure out how to pay myself a little bit this year.
Yesterday was just really sad. It was the last day of Channukah. It was my father's hebrew birthday. I heard that Anati died. Most deaths don't bother me much. This one did. It was just so before its time.
I put my Israeli law license on pause. This also made me sad somehow. I fault myself for not being more, making Israel work better. And it is easier here.
I have to run now. Mom and I want to put some things in order.
